Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) is committed to unlocking potential for successful futures by helping school pupils make informed choices about their next steps.
The world of post-16 education can seem a bewildering place. A Levels, T Levels, vocational qualifications, apprenticeships, there are so many options.
TSCG’s collaboration with schools enhances the overall approach to careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) across the region, supporting schools to meet the Gatsby Benchmarks, particularly Benchmark 7: Encounters with Further and Higher Education. In addition, this activity enables schools to evidence compliance with the “Baker Clause,” which requires schools in England to provide pupils with information about Further Education and Skills.
TSCG’s School Liaison Team works closely with schools, pupils, and families to help navigate the many options available and support a smooth transition from school to college. Through engaging events, personalised support, and expert guidance, the team enables students to explore their options and identify the right pathway for their individual goals.
Operating across Trafford, Stockport, Cheshire, Salford, and Greater Manchester, the team provides clear, accessible, and inspiring guidance on post-16 education choices. It helps students understand the full range of opportunities, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to take that all-important next step.

Recognising that every school and pupil is unique, the School Liaison Team creates personalised programmes of activity that align with each school’s goals and student aspirations. From academic enrichment sessions to industry insight talks and careers-focused workshops, the team designs and delivers support that adds real value to schools’ CEIAG provision.
TSCG supports the Greater Manchester ambition to ensure all young people receive excellent careers education, information, advice and guidance. As part of this commitment, the Group promotes Beeline – an interactive digital tool enabling young people, schools, and families to explore qualifications and career opportunities from ages 14–18.
