Accountability Statement

The TSCG Accountability Statement is an annual report that sets out how we are working to meet local, regional and national skills priorities over the current college year.

The Accountability Statement is informed by:

  • Local assessment of skills needs in the respective Economic Plans of Stockport and Trafford
  • GMCA Skills intelligence report
  • The Greater Manchester Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) and subsequent update reports
  • The initial skills assessment at a national level in the inaugural Skills England report: Driving growth and widening opportunities.

It is also aligned to our TSCG Strategic Plan, and in particular Strategic Priority 1: Providing a curriculum that delivers the skills our economy needs – locally, regionally and nationally.

The Accountability Statement includes our objectives and impact measures for the current college year in respect on meeting local, regional and national skills needs – including setting out our growth targets for national priorities as identified in the government’s industrial strategy.

Our objectives within the Accountability Statement are shared with our two local authority areas – which monitor, challenge and support the progress TSCG is making. This takes place through the Stockport Economic Alliance Group and the Trafford Enterprise, Economy and Skills (TEES) Board.
