Surprise Christmas Delivery for Construction Students at Stretford Campus

This week, Level 1 Construction students at our Stretford Campus received a festive surprise thanks to a generous Christmas delivery from one of our partners, B-Engineering Group.

B-Engineering Group is a mechanical and electrical engineering company based in Warrington, with more than 35 years’ experience delivering mechanical, electrical, and HVAC solutions across Liverpool, Manchester, and the wider North West region.

The team visited students in the workshops on campus, to share insight into developing their careers, the journey of starting a business, and what it takes to succeed in the construction and building services sector from a young age. The visit also highlighted opportunities for work experience and future employment within the company.

As part of the visit, students were presented with Stanley toolboxes, gifted as their very first personal toolbox to use throughout their construction studies. The toolboxes were handed out by the B-Engineering team, giving learners the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with industry professionals.

Kenroy Keenan, Lecturer in Construction and Sustainability at the Stretford Campus, said, “This was a great opportunity for learners to explore roles and jobs within both the construction industry, including trade-specific areas, and building services.

It supported learners in identifying how the milestones achieved in college are applicable to professional working roles. Learners received first-hand insight into roles within the industry and explored realistic local job opportunities, as well as potential short- and long-term work experience.”

Trafford and Stockport College Group would like to thank B-Engineering Group for their continued support and for helping inspire the next generation of construction professionals.
